CIRCUIT
The Kyalami Business Park was initiated by an
Anglo American Company called AMAPROP TOWNSHIPS in the mid-80's.
AMAPROP's original intention was to develop a Residential Estate
surrounded by a racetrack, where events would be held once or
twice a year. However, the then-Minister of Sport, FW de Klerk,
contacted AMAPROP and expressed the need for a formal racetrack,
where South Africa could host events more than a couple of times
a year.
